30 May Walter Abbott
Walter Abbott, 94, passed away Sunday, May 28 at Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at Bismarck Funeral Home.
Walter was the husband of Luella (Olson) Abbott. They had four children – Sherri (Steve), Reed (Jan), Randy and Christopher.
He was born and raised in Watertown, SD, served in the Navy and graduated from SDSU with a degree in Civil Engineering. He went on to earn the designation of Professional Engineer.
He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Walter is survived by his wife of 71 years, Luella, his children Sherri, Reed and Christopher, his grandchildren Allison, Aimee, Erica and Joanna, and his great grandchildren Nick, Sheridan, Hallie, Addie, Matthew, Jace, Peyton, Ty, Caleb, and Zachary. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Randy, brother Joseph, and sisters Virginia and Betty.
Dear Lou, Chris and family, I am so sorry to hear of Wally’s passing. I certainly liked seeing him in the dental office and getting to know him. I hope that cherished memories give you peace as you remember your dear Wally.
