Troy Zahn, 55, of McKenzie, passed away March 24, 2024, at CHI St. Alexius, Bismarck.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Bismarck Funeral Home.  Family will be receiving guests one hour prior to the service.

Troy David Zahn was born November 6, 1968 to Marilyn and Douglas Zahn in Bismarck, ND.  He grew up in McKenzie where he attended grade school and then went to Bismarck Century High School.

He was a very proud member of the Operating Engineer Local 49 for 25 years working on various heavy equipment.  His greatest love of working was the crane operation.

In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, rottweilers and Harley Davidson motorcycles.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Cathy; daughter, Jennifer (Cody); three grandsons, Kaden, Levi and Huntly;  his sister, Pam (Tom) Leonard; brother, Todd (Julia) Zahn; in-laws, Lori (Brian) Penor and Rick (Paula) Penor; mother-in-law, Carol Tishmack; 4 nephews and 3 nieces, Kane Zahn, Cole Beck Fox, Rhiannon Penor, Carolee (Jake) Nagel, Jolene Penor, Erick (Ayrica) Penor and Jason Penor; and three spoiled rottweilers, Spirit, Bear and Mattie.
