Sandra Volk, 74, Bismarck, passed away March 5, 2021 at the Sanford Hospital.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM at Bismarck Funeral Home on Thursday March 11, 2021.

Sandy was born on June 20, 1946 to Harry and Irene (Schiermeister) Opp by Hazelton, ND. After schooling in Hazelton, she attended cosmetology school in Bismarck and worked for various beauty shops before starting her own shop out of her house.

Sandy married Adam Volk in 1989 and they made their home in Bismarck. Over the years Sandy and Adam enjoyed many activities and hobbies together. They fished numerous lakes, camped, went four wheeling, and especially loved up on their dogs. Sandy tended to her garden and fed the birds outside her windows.

Anyone who sat in Sandys’s chair as a beauty client became a friend. She was a kind and generous woman and she will be missed by many.

Sandy is survived by her husband Adam; sister, Correne Opp; brother, Darwin (Gloria) Opp; three nieces, Debbie, Michelle, and Missy; and one great nephew, Shane.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
