Ryan Savenko, 60, of Bismarck, passed away surrounded by his family on December 9, 2023, at CHI St. Alexius Health, Bismarck.

A visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at Bismarck Funeral Home with a Time of Sharing beginning of 7:00 PM.

Ryan John Savenko was born on August 12, 1963, to Pete and Elaine Savenko.  He was raised and educated in Bismarck. He then worked for Bismarck Public Schools and Bismarck Parks and Rec for many years prior to his retirement.

In Ryan’s younger years he achieved his Black Belt in Taekwondo where he made many great friends including Mark Buschena and Jeff Wuitschick.  Over the years a couple of his many interests were motorcycles and classic cars.  With that started many friendships including Rod, Mike, and Brent.  There were many hours spent in the shop with all of his friends, and daughter, Brigett, where numerous projects were built, and memories made.   He also enjoyed spending time with Brigett’s brother, Ethan, which included many trips to Barnes and Noble for books, and McDonald’s for ice cream.  After his granddaughter Paisley was born, he was able to babysit and spend time with her, which he always looked forward to.

Ryan is survived by his daughter, Brigett; granddaughter, Paisley; brother, Rik (Tanja); sisters, Carla, Cathy (Bob) and Cherry; nephews, Brooks (Jessica) and Damon (Alicia).

In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to Ryan’s family

He will be greatly missed by many people that he became friends with throughout his life.  He worked hard, played hard, and is now riding the Heavenly Highway on his Harley pain free.
