Lois Gordian was born on April 27, 1943, in Wilton, ND to Minnie and Fred Krush.  She departed this life on Friday, December 2, 2022, at her home in Bismarck, ND surrounded by her family.  Funeral services will be on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Bismarck Funeral Home.  Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5 – 7 p.m. at Bismarck Funeral Home.

Lois lived the majority of her life in Wilton.  After graduating from Wilton High School, she moved to Minot, ND where she met her husband Jack Gordian, an airman on the Minot Airforce Base.  Soon after they were married, Lois and Jack moved to Maryland, then to Oklahoma, before settling back in Lois’s hometown of Wilton, ND.

After settling back in Wilton, Lois began her career with the US Postal Service.  She started working in the Wilton Post Office and soon transferred to the Bismarck Post office.  Lois thoroughly enjoyed all her years working at the post office.  She enjoyed meeting new people/customers every day and visiting with them as they came in to mail their packages.  She made life- long friends, not only with her co-workers at the Bismarck Post Office, but also her many customers.  After retirement Lois enjoyed taking trips – “road trips”, loading up her vehicle with family members, neighbors, and friends anyone who wanted to take a drive.  She enjoyed seeing new sights, visiting new cities, visiting with new people, and making new friends and memories along the way.

Lois also enjoyed and exciting game or two of pinochle.  She loved playing cards at holiday gatherings with family.  She loved teaching her grandchildren the game of pinochle to ensure there would always be a competitive game.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband Jack Gordian and her parents, Minnie and Fred Krush, her sister, Murriel Krush and her niece Debi Schuler.

She is survived by her daughter Linda; daughter and son-in-law Brenda and Bruce all of Bismarck; her son and daughter-in-law Tom and Doreen of Dickinson, Grandchildren, Jeffrey, Cole and Erin of Bismarck and Jace from Dickinson and a special niece Connie of Wilton.

We are very sorry to hear that Lois has passed. Lois was such a big part of Wilton and a very good friend to my parents Dwight and Betty McGinnis. Hugs to all her family at this difficult time

Our sincere condolences to all the Families of Lois. Had the pleasure of working with Lois at the Bismarck Post Office; wonderful employee that cared for her customers and treated them with kindness and friendship. Keep all the special memories with you to get you through this difficult time.

Tom, Brenda and Linda:
So sorry to hear of the passing of your mother. My prayers are with you in this tough time.

LaRoy are so sorry to hear of Lois’s passing. She was a wonderful lady and so very kind! I just loved her. My love to you, Linda, Brenda and Tom.

Linda, Brenda and Tom I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom was a special woman. She loved you all! She loved life! She loved to tell stories! And stories she had to tell! She loved to laugh! I have so many memories of all of us pilling into that big old station wagon and going on some adventure! Looking for the hook man, going to Washburn for ice cream and someone putting on Minnie’s shoes! Going to Mercer for a six pack! I remember that if we were ever acting out all it took was don’t make me call Lois and we were all angels again! She might give us a shot or blow our noses! I can not think of your mother and smile! Too bad i didn’t get my pizza burgers! I suppose this is supposed to be brief but your mother doesn’t deserve brief! Again I am sorry for your loss but also all of our loss! My mom is waiting to catch up on the gossip!

So sorry to hear about your mom’s passing. I have treasured memories of our families hanging out while camping at Wolf Creek.
