Linda Rae Schreiner Houfek, 76, of Bismarck, passed away on Nov. 25, 2023 in a Bismarck Hospital.  Funeral Service will be held on Monday, Nov. 27, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Bismarck Funeral Home.  Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens on Thursday, Nov. 30, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral

Linda was born on March 24, 1947 to Raymond and Willie Mae (Cowgill) Schreiner in Billings, MT.  She married Dan Houfek on Oct. 20, 1972.

She worked at the Welfare Office/Voc Rehab in both Minot and Bismarck, Pride Industries, ND Department of Corrections and a Rehabilitation Director of HR for 23 years.

She loved to be with her friends and family.  She recently took up painting and enjoyed doing craft things such as that.  There are many stories to be told of the fun times that Linda had with friends and family.  Linda loved dogs and had several of them.  They all held a very special place in Linda’s heart.  She was a wonderful, caring person who will be greatly missed by all.

She is survived by her husband Dan, nephews, Brook and Chad, sister and brother-in-law, Connie and Brian and many other close family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and mother and father-in-law.
