Ellen (Seidel) Hendrickson passed away on January 9, 2021 at the age of 97. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 15, 2021 at Bismarck Funeral Home, Bismarck. If you are unable to attend, the service will be live streamed on Bismarck Funeral Homes Facebook Page.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Thursday, January 14 at Bismarck Funeral Home.

Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck.

Ellen was born July 13, 1923 in Dodge, ND. She was the last surviving sibling out of eight girls and four boys born to Adam and Barbara (Weisenburger) Seidel. Ellen married Richard Hendrickson in 1955. They had many happy years together before his passing in 1988.

Ellen was a hairstylist for over 50 years. She owned Royal Beauty Shop in Bismarck and her clientele were like family to her. After retiring, she became an auxiliary volunteer at St Alexius Hospital for over 25 years. She loved going to work and giving her time back to others.

Ellen’s love for the Lord showed in her faithful membership of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, and little Gram Gram.

She will be missed by her daughter, Coleen (Jean) De Lille, Lillian, AL; twin granddaughters, Andrea (Adjetey) Osekre, Lauderhill, FL and Babette (Jamie) McGurren, Bismarck; four very special great grandchildren, Andre and Aja Osekre and Kyle and Erik (Keziah) McGurren; along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A heartfelt thank you to the McGurren family and Rita Kelly for their loving care of Ellen.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to your favorite charity in Ellen’s name.
