A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at 11:00 AM at First Lutheran Church, Bismarck with Reverend Allen Wagner officiating.

Doreen was born September 20, 1963 in Bismarck to Urho Wilbur Holsti and Jeanette (Birdsell) Holsti.  She married Patrick Brown in August 1985, and they were blessed with two children, Julia and Sam, during their 38 years of wedded bliss.  Doreen enjoyed her volunteer time at Bismarck Cancer Center, The First Lutheran Church Quilters and trips to Las Vegas with her husband.  In 2016, she was happy to add her daughter-in-law, Miranda, to the family.  Doreen was overjoyed to become a grandmother in 2019 with the birth of her grandson, Carson, and again in 2022 with the birth of her granddaughter, Adi.  Doreen’s favorite thing to do was spoiling her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Patrick; daughter, Julia Brown; son, Sam (Miranda) Brown; grandchildren, Carson and Adi Brown; aunt, Lou Birdsell Glass; uncle, Jerry (Mona) Birdsell and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and numerous aunts and uncles.

Doreen was an amazing woman!

Pat,
So sorry to hear of your loss. You and your family are in our thoughts.

Dear Brown Family. My heart is saddened by the news of DeeDee’s passing. Growing up with my best friend Jamie (Wise) Pulkrabek, I was welcomed into this family in so many occasions. Dee Dee was such a sweet soul with a wonderful laugh. I don’t remember a time she didn’t have a smile on her face. Her love for her family was so evident to anyone who knew her. She is greatly missed. Judy and Don Meidinger
