Donald Ray Anderson, 76, Bismarck, passed away March 24, 2024, at Sanford Health, Bismarck.  A Memorial Service will be held Monday, April 01, 2024, at 2:00 PM at GracePoint Church, Bismarck.  Family will be greeting guests one hour prior to the service.

Donald was born April 15, 1947, in Sisseton, SD to Clifford and Alice (Stroehl) Anderson.  They moved to Milbank, SD when he was in the 4th grade and Don graduated from Milbank High School in 1965.  He went on to graduate from Northern State College in Aberdeen, SD.

In 1967, Donald married Gail Johnson.  He was an Industrial Arts teacher in Bristol, SD and Milbank, SD before going to work for the Milwaukee Railroad in Yankton, SD and then Burlington Northern in Forsyth, MT and Bismarck, ND.  He enjoyed his work on the railroad for over 26 years.  Donald was a long-time member of GracePoint Church in Bismarck. His favorite hobby was fishing, and he has trophies to show for that!

He is survived by his wife, Gail Anderson; three daughters, Kris (Scott) Felker, Woodinville, WA, Tamara (Lloyd) Donaldson, Denton, MT, Jill (Dave) Story, Bozeman, MT; eight grandchildren, Micah Felker, Lydia Felker, Addie (Paul) Fuller, Riley Donaldson, Parker Donaldson, Callie Donaldson, Sam Story and Luke Story; brother, Rodney (Clara) Stroehl; brothers-in-law, Dean (Diane) Johnson, Marlyn (Myrna) Johnson, Rodney (Chong Hui) Johnson; sisters-in-law, Verna Stroehl and Joyce Johnson.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles Stroehl and brother-in-law, Sydney Johnson.

So sorry to read about the loss of Don. Prayers and hugs to you and your family.
