Dalles was born on March 13th, 1939, in Bismarck, ND to Fred and Ruth (Rosenau) Spah.
As a young man, Dallas delivered telegrams by bicycle in the dead of winter. Later, he was a bellhop at the Grand Pacific Hotel.
When Dalles turned 21 he became a bartender until he retired at the age of 72 from the Elks. Dalles loved camping and fishing with all of his friends and family.
Dalles is survived by hi daughter Wanda (Brian) Kaiser of Vancouver, WA. Son, Dale (Kelly) Spah of Billings MT, two grandchildren Angie and Levi, and three great grandchildren, Cameron, Jazzy, and Codi; brother Dennis Spah of Lakewood, CO; Niece, LeAnn (Jason) Gaedtke, and their children Naomi and Oliver.
I worked with Dallas at the GP Hotel as a cashier in the Steakhouse in 1961 to 2962. He was a good guy always pleasant.
My condolences to his family.
Dallas was a gentleman. A storyteller. A friend within our Ministry On The Margins community since our beginnings. We will miss him.
He was a very sweet patron of the soup cafe. He was always grateful and kind when I served there.
