Carol J. Pfaff, 93, Bismarck, ND, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2021, at the Baptist Health Care Center.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on February 15, 2021, at the Bismarck Funeral Home, Bismarck, ND, with Pastor Rich Wyatt officiating from Living Hope Church of the Nazarene.   Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens following the funeral service.  A live stream of the service will be available on the Bismarck Funeral Home Facebook page.

Visitation will be held Sunday, February 14^th, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Bismarck Funeral Home.  Visitation will continue at Bismarck Funeral Home one hour prior to the service on February 15^th, 2021.

Carol was born on January 3, 1928, to Ervin and Nettie (Hamman) Gutknecht.  She grew up and attended country school and graduated from Hurdsfield High School.  Carol was a schoolteacher and taught in rural schools near Hurdsfield.

She was united in marriage to Dale (Bob) Pfaff on June 8, 1950, and they celebrated 70 years of marriage.  They moved to Bismarck where she worked at the bulk plant for Phillips 66 and then later for Med-Center One.

Carol was a member of the Nazarene Church in Bismarck.

Carol enjoyed family and cooking, and her family loved her cooking.

Carol will be deeply missed by her husband, Dale; sons: Doug (Linda) Pfaff, Colorado, Tim (Peggy) Pfaff, Bismarck; daughter- in- law, Saundra Pfaff, Bismarck; seven grandchildren: Jeremy (Erin) Pfaff, Jason (Jenna) Pfaff, Joshua (Carrie) Pfaff, Lindsey Pfaff, Ross Pfaff, Brooke Pfaff and Scott Pfaff; 10 great-grandchildren; and brother, Arnold (Kris) Gutknecht, Idaho.

Carol was preceded in death by her son, Steve; parents; sisters: Erna Kline and Eileen White; and brothers: Willard Gutknecht and Richard Gutknecht.
