August M. Filipi, died peacefully on April 24, 2021 at the hospital with his niece by his bedside and his sister, Margaret, on the phone praying prayers for the dying.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 30, 2021 at St Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Dickinson, ND at 10:00 AM MDT. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM, where a rosary/vigil will begin at 7:00 PM, Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Bismarck Funeral Home, Hwy 83 and Calgary, 3723 Lockport St, Bismarck.

August was born August 31, 1935, the youngest child of Frank and Mary (Tuhy) Filipi.

He is survived by his brother, Stephen Filipi and sister-in-law, Rose Filipi, Dickinson, sister, Margaret Eckert, St Paul, MN and sister-in-law, Tillie Filipi, West Fargo, ND and nieces and nephews.

August is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mildred Steffan and brother-in-law, Charles Steffan, brother, Laudie Filipi and sister-in-law, Aleen Filipi, brother, Ludwig, sister, Hattie and brother-in-law, John Eckert.

He will be missed by the residents at Edgewood Village.
