Alvin “Bing” Terry, 92, Bismarck, passed away on December 30, 2023, in a Bismarck hospital.  Memorial services will be on Friday, January 5, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. at Bismarck Funeral Home.

Alvin “Bing” Terry was born on May 27, 1931, in Parkers Prairie Minnesota. He was the son of Frank Terry and Annie (Krenz) Terry.

Bing was a young man when he decided to leave Minnesota and move to North Dakota. This is where he met and married his wife Lorentine (Graf) Terry on October 14, 1950.

He started to work for John Deere as a fulltime mechanic in 1953 and was there until 1980. During this time, he and grandma were also working on the ranch raising cattle and farming their land. It was only 2 years ago that he decided it was time to sell the cows.

Bing was loved by so many; his humor and kindness was felt by everyone he met. He was always there to lend a helping hand and he made friends wherever he went. Bing will be missed; however, he will never be forgotten and will always be loved.

Bing is survived by his wife, Lorentine Terry, children, Dean and Cindy (Bob Holzworth), his grandchildren, Allen, and Amie (Jason Burtness) and his great granddaughter Jasmyn.

Bing was proceeded in death by his daughter, Connie (Butch Schlafman), parents Frank and Annie Terry; his brothers, Arvid, Gordon, Henry, Melvin, Andy, and Robert; sisters, Eunice Botz and Frances Ann.
