Shawn & Alison Harrington

Alison Harrington, Licensed Funeral Director, grew up on the Marquardt family farm near Pettibone, ND. In 2004, she married Shawn Harrington and together they have 3 children. They established residency in Bismarck where Alison made her career working as a Registered Respiratory Therapist. Alison has always been inspired to help and serve others. A dream of Shawn and Alison’s has been to work side by side, making a difference in others’ lives. Being a funeral director’s wife and having lost her father, Alison understands how important it is to have sensitive, caring people care for your loved one. She wants to help families create an authentic, personalized and meaningful funeral experience because everyone has a unique and special story to tell. Also, she likes to help others through the grieving process by being a positive, supportive friend you can count on through the most difficult time in one’s life. In her spare time, Alison realizes just how important it is to lead a healthy lifestyle and she’s passionate about helping others meet their health and wellness goals. She likes to stay active in the community, enjoys golfing, camping, biking, spending time with family, and attending and helping with children’s activities.

 

Shawn Harrington, Funeral Director, a native of Wing, ND graduated from Wing High School in 2002. Following high school, he attended Bismarck State College and began working at a local funeral home. In the summer of 2004, he and his wife moved to Gresham, OR where he attended Mt. Hood Community College and graduated in 2005 with an Associates of Applied Science Degree in Funeral Service. They moved back to Bismarck where he served his apprenticeship and has been a licensed Funeral Director since July of 2006. Shawn is also a certified crematory operator from the Cremation Society of North America. Shawn’s goal is to provide sensitive and caring assistance during life’s most difficult times and to help create personalized and meaningful celebrations that honor your loved one.  A dream of Shawn and Alison’s has been to work side by side, making a difference in others’ lives. In his spare time Shawn stays active in the community and enjoys golfing, softball, focusing on health and wellness, spending time with family, and helping out with his kid’s activities.

 

On April 3, 2020, Shawn and Alison joined Doug Rode and Mike Nathe on purchasing the funeral home. Shawn and Doug have worked together since August 26, 2008.
