Dutchess Sparks

Share:

Dutchess Sparks left this world and walked into the arms of her loving Savior and Lord Jesus Christ on Mother’s Day, May 12, 2024. It seems appropriate that although she left us far too young, she did so on the day celebrating the role she embraced most, being a mama.

A rosary/vigil will be held Wednesday, May 15, at 7:00pm at the Bismarck Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held Thursday, May 16 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Church in Mandan with Father Josh Waltz presiding. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Bismarck.

Dutchess was born January 19, 1974, in Ft. Worth, Texas to Edgar Sparks and Ruth Pretends Eagle. She spent a great deal of her life in Ft. Yates, Bismarck, and Mandan, North Dakota. After graduating high school from Ft. Yates High School, she completed two years of college.

She leaves behind two children, Darius and Devona, whom she loved deeply. Her pride in their accomplishments was always a topic of conversation with her. They remember her for her fun nature, beautiful smile and caring spirit.

I lost my angel. Carol was truly my angel. She always took me under her wings. Carol was a person that was always positive, no matter what. If it was dark and gloomy outside, she made it bright and sunny. She was always willing to help whoever needed help. I enjoyed working with her. She was always a bundle of joy. Our condolences to Howard, susan and the family. We love you Carole. We will miss you. Tim and maggie.
