Dale Michael Vivier, 56, Bismarck passed away May 26, 2024.  Visitation will be held Thursday, May 30, 2024 at the Bismarck Funeral Home from 5-8pm.

Dale was born July 2, 1967 in Belcourt, North Dakota to Sylvester Vivier Sr. and Rose Grant/ Berg.  He was raised in Belcourt and completed his GED in Minot.  Dale went on to graduate from United Tribes Technical College with an associates degree in Applied Science and Automotive.

He married Judy Hennager on June 26, 1992 in Belcourt.  He served in the North Dakota Army National Guard.  Dale started his career in asbestos abatement and later found his calling in the security world.  He started working security with Bisman Security and later moved on to Prairie Knights Casino.  He got a chance to work at UTTC and was always excited when it was powwow weekend.  He finished his security career back home at Skydancer Casino.

Dale loved to play pool and darts!  His love of pool and darts went hand in hand with his love of Bud Light and Fireball.  If you didn’t find him out having a good time on a pool table or dart board then you would have to go to the lake and see him with a rod and reel.  Dale was always excited for hunting season to start because he couldn’t wait to make sausage and jerky.  Dale was known to be a tinkerer from the smallest motor to the biggest.  But most of all Dale loved to spend time with his family and friends, from joking and pranking everyone to being your biggest supporter and listening ear.

Dale is survived by his wife, Judy; 4 kids and 10 grandchildren; sons, Eric Vivier, Tyler (Jamie) Vivier, Tyrell (Ashlee) Vivier; daughter, Susan (Jacob) Vivier; 7 grandsons, Tayden, Otto, EJ, Lance, Laken, LaMarcus, Alexander; 3 granddaughters, LaJaye, Lamiyah, Layah; Siblings, Carla Schroeder, Carleen (Tom) Winfrey, Gladys (Mike) Azure, Sylvester Vivier Jr. and many nephews, nieces, cousins and all friends.

Dale was preceded in death by his father, Sylvester (Peeyashee) Vivier Sr.; mother, Rose Grant/ Berg; brothers, Lyman Vivier, Gary Vivier, Bryan Vivier, Daryl Vivier, Glen Vivier; sisters, Beverly Vivier, Mary Margaret Vivier; nephews, Darrell “Dis” Ironshooter and Alfred “Shummy” Schroeder Jr.
