A Message from Bismarck Funeral Home & Crematory

All of us here at Bismarck Funeral Home and Crematory want you to know that our thoughts and prayers go out to each and every one of you during this growing COVID-19 pandemic.

We’re all in this together.

During this time of uncertainty, we understand that this pandemic has created new concerns about how to make arrangements and what else to do when losing a loved one.

Our profession is dedicated to serving people when someone they love dies, and during this crisis, we’ve adapted to serve you in ways that are both meaningful and safe. We’re making prudent and informed decisions and finding ways to be proactive. We’re being nimble, open and forward-thinking. And as the situation changes, so will we, but with urgency and focus, not panic.

We’ve taken many steps to ensure that our funeral home continues to safely operate with safety in mind for our employees, as well as grieving families, friends and other guests, and we are making it possible for them to participate in the services in traditional or new ways.

We are committed to making a difficult time less difficult.

We have added signs at our entrance with current recommendations from the CDC and North Dakota Department of Health in regards to personal hygiene, health concerns and social distancing tips. Hand sanitizer is available at the entrance, and we are diligently disinfecting our public areas after every interaction and service.

Service arrangements and planning can be done in person or alternately, via telephone, Skype, Zoom Meeting, Facetime, email or even fax.

One of our other adaptations is using technology and remote communication. We’re now offering webcasting and video streaming of our funeral home onsite visits and services. This is especially appreciated by seniors, those who are vulnerable or sick, and those who can’t travel to attend the service of a loved one.

Your safety and satisfaction under these trying circumstances is of utmost importance to us.

To my staff, I thank you for all you’re doing. I’m proud of you. I also want to thank all of you in our community for giving us this huge honor of being able to serve you, and trusting us that we’ll do our absolute best. We will continue to do everything in our power to provide a safe place for you, your family and friends to honor, celebrate and remember your loved ones, while following official requirements and going above and beyond them.

Please contact us if you have any additional questions, concerns or requests on how we can serve you during this trying time. Please stay safe, and take care of your family, friends, neighbors, and especially our seniors as we get through this.

May God bless us and watch over us, and remember, we’re all in this together. Thank you.

Sincerely,
Mike Nathe
