Tammy Dawn (Wickstrom) Huft, 61, Bismarck North Dakota, passed away Monday, September 5th, 2022, at Sanford Health, Bismarck.  Tammy fought a hard, courageous 2-year battle with cancer.  Tammy’s life will be celebrated at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022 at Bismarck Funeral Home.

Tammy was born Jan. 9, 1961, in Williston ND.  She was the daughter of Andrew and Shirley Wickstrom. She grew up in Medicine Lake, Montana.  She married Robert Huft, of Bismarck, ND on Aug. 31, 1984.  On July 2, 1997, Tammy and Rob were gifted with their daughter Sara.

Tammy worked many years at Medcenter One, later becoming Sanford Health.  She worked in various positions at Sanford Health.  Tammy also worked for Burleigh County Child Care, Department of Human Services and Missouri Slope but always seemed to find her way back to Sanford Health where she could work directly with the patients or residents.   It was during her career in health care that she developed a passion for the elderly.  She just loved getting up in the morning and going to work to care for her residents.  She would spend hours at home finding the right craft for her residents.  At the time of her Cancer Diagnosis Tammy was working at Prairie Pointe Assisted Living.  She was so happy and proud to be working side-by-side with her daughter.  She would tell everybody how proud she was of Sara and how Sara had turned into such a fine outstanding woman.

She is survived by her husband and her daughter.  Sister Dolores Reuter of Medicine Lake, MT; Brother Daniel (Linda) Hull of Milton, Washington; Charles Wickstrom, Bismarck, ND; Tim Wickstrom of Plentywood, Montana; Rebecca (Rodger) Fenster of Fargo, ND and Carrie Wickstrom of Maricopa, Arizona.  Along with Nieces and Nephews Cheri (Mike) Skorick, Debbie (Jeff) Olson, Micheal (Monica) Reuter, Jennifer, Heather and Danielle Hull, Nichole (Steve) Seward and Kennedy (Adam Bjornberg) Fenster.

She was preceded in death by her parents Andrew Wickstrom, Shirley Haga, Stepmother Donna (Anderson) Wickstrom, Rob’s parents Irvin and Darlene Huft, brother Jack Hull, brother in-law Anthony Reuter and Nephew Joshua Fenster.
