Wal Habib, 66, Bismarck, quietly passed away March 27, 2019. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 3, at 10:00 a.m. at Bismarck Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1500 Country West Road.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Apr. 2, from 6 – 9 p.m. at Bismarck Funeral Home.
Wal Farvsh Habib was born November 19, 1952 to Walter Frank Hapip and Vera Lou Orth in Williston, ND. He was the youngest of three siblings. He married Marian LeClerc on July 17, 1978. Together they brought three wonderful, good-looking, and above average children into the world. As a father he was very proud of each of the children and what they have accomplished in their lives. He cherished his three granddaughters, Brenna Murphy, Julia and Josie Hanson.
Wal married Madeline Free on August 4, 2006. Together they learned to navigate life’s challenges, especially in recent years.
Wal has a testimony of His Savior and the Atonement. He was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Wal is survived by his wife, Madeline, Bismarck; brother, David Walter Hapip, Bismarck, and his sister, Diana Lou Read, Jacksonville, FL; his children: Jennifer (Jared) Shirk, Brush Prairie, WA, Jessica (Jamie) Hanson, Lincoln, ND, and Sean (Laura) Hapip, Williston; and his granddaughters, Brenna Murphy and Julia and Josie Hanson.
Wal requested that rather than flowers, you give a donation to the charity or non-profit organization of your choice or better yet, do a random act of kindness to someone in need.
