Sandra June (Kruckenberg) Sayler, 62, of Hettinger ND, passed away October 22, 2018. A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 26, 2018 at Bismarck Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, October 25, 2018, with a prayer service at 6:30, also at Bismarck Funeral Home.
Sandy was born on June 4, 1956 in Hazen to Rudolf and Emma (Horning) Kruckenberg. She was the youngest of 14 siblings. The family lived on a farm and moved to Hazen in the 1970’s. Sandy attended high school in Riverdale and then Hazen.
She married Ralph Schutt on September 1, 1973. They had two sons, Chris and Jason. Ralph passed away August 11, 1978 due to a motor vehicle accident. She attended a trade school in Grand Forks for Medical Secretary. She married Peter Sayler on June 3, 1984. Pete adopted the boys in 1987. Pete and Sandy shared their lives together in several locations which include: Underwood and Williston, ND, Houston, Austin and Round Rock, TX; White Fish, MT; Dickinson, Killdeer and Hettinger, ND.
Sandy worked for Killdeer Mount Manufacturing (KMM) for 27 years. She enjoyed country music, spending time with family and collecting bears. Sandy loved her children and grandchildren dearly.
Sandy is survived by her husband, Pete; sons: Chris (Becky) Sayler, Dawsonville, GA and Jason (Cindy Socha) Sayler, Robinson, ND; grandchildren: Samantha (Cody) Warren, Gainesville, GA, Christopher Sayler and Brittany Sayler, both of Dawsonville, GA; brother Rudy Kruckenberg, Kenmare, ND; sisters: Judy (Quinten) Ziemann, Detroit Lakes, MN, Joyce (Loren) Spurzem, Delano, MN, Carrie (John) Hart, Zap, ND and Darlene (Larry) Lindquist, Sun City, AZ; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Rudolf and Emma; sister Velma Kruckenberg; brothers: Norman, Orland, Morris, Jerry, Ronald, Delvin and Glen.
