Rose Voegele, 94, passed away Saturday October 26, 2024, at Elim Nursing Home in Fargo N.D.
Rose was one of 15 children born to Gottlieb and Eva (Sayler) Schneider on April 12, 1930. She was raised in the Hebron area. After graduating high school in 1948, she started teaching at a country school in rural Belfield, N.D. She was united in marriage to Gordon Voegele in 1952 in Hebron. Gordon was an ordained minister, so they served different churches until he passed away. Rose was very active in the church, Rose volunteered tirelessly nurturing young minds in Sunday school, assisting with church activities and lending her time and talent to anything needed. Rose loved gardening and making flower arrangements with the flowers she grew. Rose loved to bake, we always enjoyed her Carmel rolls and Christmas cookies. Rose enjoyed spending time at the lake with Kary’s family whenever she could. Rose’s faith was a cornerstone of her life. Her devout study and her dedication to prayer informed her every decision.
Rose lived at the Terrace in Bismarck until her dementia declined and then moved to Fargo in Oct. of 2022 to be closer to family until she passed away. She is survived by her son, Kent (Marie), Ohio; daughter, Kayla Perry, Kansas; son, Kary (Michelle), Fargo; Grandchildren, Cameron and Kathrine Perry, Kansas, and Nicholas and Tyler Voegele, Fargo; Brother, Stanley (Lila), Hebron, in-laws and many nieces and nephews.
She is proceeded in death by her husband, Gordon; grandsons, Donald and Shane Voegele; her parents, in-laws and 13 siblings.
Visitation will be from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m., followed by a service at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 1, at Bismarck Funeral Home in Bismarck, N.D. Interment will be at the Hebron Baptist Cemetery in Hebron N.D.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to New Life Church Bismarck N.D.
