Robert F. Silbernagel

Robert "Bob" Silbernagel passed away peacefully on April 5, 2025 at Edgewood Mandan. He was 81 years old. Mass of Christian Burial will be April 11, 2025 at 10:00AM at Church of the Ascension. Visitation will be at Bismarck Funeral Home on April 10 from 5-7 PM with a rosary at 7:00 PM. Burial will be at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery.

Bob was born on July 3, 1943 in Hauge, North Dakota to Felix and Katie (Gross) Silbernagel. He was the third youngest of 12 children.

Bob married his sweetheart, Cathy Rohrich, on February 17, 1968. From this union 3 children were raised.

He proudly served in the North Dakota National Guard for 6 years. He was honorably discharged achieving the rank of Sergeant.

He was a jack of all trades. There were not many things that he was not able to fix. Family and friends often reached out to him to help fix various things, even over the phone.

Bob is survived by his loving children, Traver (Jenn), Fargo, Bob (Karen), Lake Elmo Minnesota, and Kim (Andrew), Bismarck as well as his pride and joy, his grandchildren, Nick, Ryan, Reganne, Payton, Jake, and Corban.

He is proceeded in death by his wife of 56 years Cathy; his parents; brother, Leo; sisters, Ann, Mary, Lena, Lil and Arly as well as several brothers and sisters in law.
