NYLA SEIDEL went home to be with her Lord on August 13, 2019 at Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center in Bismarck, ND. She was born Nyla Jane Haring on March 7, 1945 in Elgin, ND to Ted and Ella (Will) Haring, the youngest of three girls. Her mom passed away when Nyla was in her twenties, but later her father remarried and Bertha Snyder became her stepmother. She then became a stepsister to Darlene, Joanne, May and John Snyder.
Nyla went to school in Glen Ullin, and after graduating from high school, she went to the National School of Business in Rapid City, South Dakota. She worked for many years as a secretary for the Bismarck Public School District, retiring in 2005 after an illness.
Nyla was married to Ervin Kroh on June 27, 1964 in Glen Ullin. They had two daughters, Pamela and Kimberly. They were divorced in 1986. On May 26, 1990 she married Ed Seidel, and became a stepmother to Carla, Maresa, Linda, Deb, Betty and Jim Seidel.
She loved to spend time with her grandkids when they were growing up, and she liked to play the games Yahtzee and Dominos with them. She also was a very devout person and loved listening to hymns and other worship music.
Nyla is survived by her daughters, Pam (Ken) Rennich and Kim (Brian) Volk, all of Bismarck; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; her stepchildren, sister Dorothy (Jack) Hoffman, North Platte, NE; brother-in-law Al Emter and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and stepmom, her husband Ed, her sister Lucille Emter, and stepsister May Snyder.
Nyla loved her Lord and Savior and is now at peace and rejoicing with Him.
Private family services are being planned.
