Norman Mohl, 83, passed away February 15, 2025. A memorial service will be held Monday, February 24, 2025 at 10:30 am at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church Bismarck. Family will be receiving guests one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery.
Norman was born on March 9, 1941 to Anna (Gegelman) and Peter Mohl in Halliday. He was the youngest of ten children and graduated from Halliday High School in 1959. From 1961 to 1965 he served in the United States Air Force and was stationed at Sheppard Air Force Base in Texas.
Norm met the love of his life, Carol McMahen, in 1966 and the two were married on June 16, 1967. They spent the next 56 years together.
He worked many different jobs in his life including construction, Super Valu Warehouse and Job Service as a computer programmer. Norm was a very active member of the Bismarck Eagles, where he held many offices. He loved playing bingo.
He is survived by his sister-in-law, Jane (Bryant) Kieson; niece, Jessica (Branden) Fassett and their children, Willard Kieson and Walker Fassett; sisters-in-law, Karen (Ervin) McConnell, Darlene (Earl) Pelton, Delores, Marg and Lou Mohl; brothers-in-law, Garry (Jane) McMahen, Earl (Jackie) McMahen; step brother, Herbert Martin; niece, Nancy (Mike) Gawryliv and several nieces and nephews.
Norman was preceded in death by his wife, Carol; parents; sister, Elsie Steffen; brothers, Edwin, Raymond, Wilbur, Arthur, Mickey, Peter, Richard and Melvin Mohl; stepfather, Reinhold Martin; two nieces and four nephews.
