Neita Glover

d. November 21, 2023

Neita Lou Glover, 76, Bismarck, passed away from this life on November 21, 2023, after an extended illness at the Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center.  Memorial services will be on Monday, December 4, 2023, at 1:30 p.m. at Bismarck 7 th Day Adventist Church, 1109 N. 26 th St., Bismarck.

Neita was born on July 2, 1947, in Leesburg, Florida to Mattie Hartsfield & Robert Glover. She grew up in different places in Florida as her father took on jobs providing for the family. In her later teen years Neita moved to Chesapeake, Virginia. There she cleaned homes and worked at the Chesapeake General Hospital.

Neita was united in marriage to William Spencer in 1977. They were blessed with a son, William Spencer Jr. in 1980.

It was in 1983, Neita and William Spencer Jr., moved to North Dakota. She received her G.E.D. in 1994. Much work and effort was put into getting her G.E.D. She earned the Development Disabled Certificate and then worked at HIT and Pride Inc., helping people which she loved doing. She was the first recipient to receive an award from Community Action. She was a single mom and made great strides to become economically self-sufficient.

Neita had many hardships in her life and yet she seemed to have a positive attitude and endured them with God’s grace and mercy. She appreciated the small things in life.

She enjoyed artwork, crocheting, painting, cooking, baking, sight-seeing, being outdoors, and collecting different types of knickknacks. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren, friends, and animals. She loved her faith, taking time each day to read her bible, and being a part of the SDA church family.

Neita is survived by her son William Spencer, Jr. (Helen Price) grandchildren LaRaiah and Armaan Spencer, Trinity, Isley, and Vanessa Price. Her nieces and nephews Jessica, Tony, and AJ Medley; Britney, Edgar and Ebony Glover; Charles Pinto, Virginia Wilson, and Marilyn Spence. Special friends, Andrea and Carter Stone, and Della and Grady Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lee Glover and Mattie Hartsfield. Brother Eugene Willis Glover and sisters, Essie Mae Walker, Cora Lee Medley, and Johnnie Mae Glover.

We thank Northland Pace and the Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center staff for the love and care in helping Neita as her health continued to decline.
