Naomi “Puz” Aldinger, 87, passed away peacefully at CHI St. Alexius Health on February 17, 2021.
Naomi was born on August 25, 1933 in Turtle Lake, ND to John and Effie (Peterson) Brown. Her family moved to Bemidji, MN when she was six weeks old and returned to Coleharbor, ND when she was seven years old. She graduated from Coleharbor High School in 1951 and attended Bismarck Commercial College.
Naomi married Lawrence Aldinger on June 12, 1955 in Riverdale, ND. They made Bismarck their home for their entire 65 years of marriage and are Charter Members of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
Naomi worked for a short time as a dental assistant. She loved baking, collecting dishes, and sending Hallmark cards to family and friends, but more than anything, she loved being a wife and mother.
Naomi is survived by her loving husband, Lawrence; son, William (Penny) Aldinger and their children, Ryan Aldinger and Danielle (Nickolas) Miller; daughter, Susan Elliott (friend, Tom Fuhrman) and her children, Robert (Tarae) Eagle and John (Kelley) Elliott; daughter, Mari Keller (friend, Dave Twardowski) and her children, Amanda (Shaun) Gravseth and Thomas Keller (fiancé, Alexa Sanders); her four great-grandchildren: Aaron Eagle, Jacob Eagle, Brooklyn Naomi Gravseth, and Emma Gravseth; her sister, Wanda (Robert) Kastner; her sister-in-law, Helen Mae Aldinger; many special nieces and nephews; and her dear friend of 80 years, Virginia “Peanuts” Pochant.
Naomi was preceded in death by her parents, John and Effie (Peterson) Brown; son-in-law, Charles “Buddy” Elliott; sisters-in-law, Elsie (William) Mankin, Helen (Sam) Landenberger, Irene (Carl) Leib, and Evelyn (Dean) McMonagle; and brothers-in-law, Otto (Marcella) Aldinger, Fred (Freda) Aldinger, Alec (Elsie) Aldinger, and Jacob Aldinger.
Naomi was the most beautiful wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She will be forever missed.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, February 22, 2021 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 106 Osage Ave, Bismarck. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
