Michael J. Kuehn, age 55, of Bismarck, North Dakota passed away peacefully on February 7th, 2021, at his home in Bismarck.  Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 2 p.m., Friday, February 26, 2021, at St. William’s Catholic Church in Parkers Prairie with Fr. Peter VanderWeyst officiating. The service will be live streamed on Michael’s memorial obituary page on the Lind Family Funeral Home website.  Inurnment will take place at a later date this spring.

Michael Joel Kuehn was born to James and Norma (Simonitch) Kuehn on August 11, 1965, in Breckinridge, Minnesota. He attended St. Mary’s Catholic School through the 8th grade and graduated from Breckinridge High School in 1984. He continued his studies at the University of Minnesota Moorhead. He was a son, brother, cousin, uncle, grandpa, and a caring father. Those who knew Michael will never be able to forget his obsession with obscure trivia facts, his love and passion for the outdoors, his heart of gold, unbreakable spirit, and his infectious sense of humor.  He was friends with just about everyone he met and was blessed with a gift of being able to light up a room and make everyone laugh. Some of Michael’s favorite things were traveling, music, tactical gear, hunting, fishing, golfing, and surrounding himself with those he loved most.

Michael is preceded in death by his father, James L. Kuehn; nephew, Aram D. Kuehn; and grandparents, Ernest and Myrtle (Piper) Kuehn and Carl and Ann (Geister) Simonitch.

Michael, a devoted son, is survived by his mother, Norma Kuehn; affectionate father to his two sons, Maxwell and Charles “Chaz”; daughter, Tyler Saccardi; and a caring brother to his siblings Sandy (Alan) Otto, Dan (Mel) Kuehn, William (Mary) Kuehn, Susan (Curt) Huelsnitz, Jennifer (Scott) Rasmussen, and Tony (Angie) Kuehn; and his many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
