Marlyn Rothmann, 87, Bismarck, was called home March 20, 2019, at St. Vincent’s surrounded by her family. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at 11:30 a.m., at the Bismarck Funeral Home. Family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the start of the service. Inurnment will be at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
Marlyn was born on September 17, 1931, in Hankinson, ND to Floyd and Margaret (Budack) Schultz. She attended NDSSS in Wahpeton. Marlyn worked as a seamstress making snowmobile suits and other winter ware. Later, she was employed at Melroe (Bobcat) for many years. She was a member of First Lutheran Church and was an Amvets Post 9 Lifetime Auxiliary member. Her lifetime hobbies included a love for flowers, camping, needlework, ceramics, puzzles, and birdwatching.
Marlyn leaves behind her husband, the love of her life, Raymond; children: Lindy (Brian) Orn, Stirum, ND, Vonnie (Collin) Weisz, Underwood, and Kirby Mohs, Bismarck; stepchildren: Bryan (Earlene) Rothmann and Danny Rothmann, both of Washburn; and sixteen grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Marlyn was preceded in death by her parents, stepson, Bradley Rothmann and sister, Berda Jean “Jeanne” Kuehl.
In lieu of plants and flowers, memorials are preferred to the St. Vincent’s Care Center.
