Marian Klein, 80, Bismarck, passed peacefully in her sleep on September 6, 2024 at her home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, September 12, 2024 at 11:00 am at Church of St. Anne with Father Paul Gardner presiding. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery.
Marian was born on December 15, 1943 to George and Mary Masseth. She attended county school in Emmons County and received her high school education at St. Mary’s High School, Bismarck. She attended Capital Commercial College, graduating in 1963.
On June 20, 1964, she married Ivo (Klein) at the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit in Bismarck. She had a long career at Midwest Motors Express and went on to work for Lewis Truck Lines in Fargo, ND.
After her retirement, Marian became her mom’s main caregiver, she made her meals, and provided her with companionship, medical and home care needs.
Marian enjoyed playing cards, gardening, and baking. She was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Bismarck. Her greatest joy was the love for her grandchildren. She devoted her whole life taking care of people she loved.
She is survived by her son, Loren and Jessie Klein; grandchildren, Alexis and Jess Etchemendy, Taylor and Brittany Klein, Will Klein, and El Jay Dugenio. She is also survived by her siblings, George Jr and Ursula Masseth, Joe and Jane Masseth, Linda and Carlyle Will, Dan and Claudia Masseth and many very special nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ivo Klein (2016); her niece, Mary and nephew, Jameson Masseth.
