Lorraine Francis Seydel, 82, passed away on May 11, 2022, at St. Alexius Hospital, Bismarck, ND.
A graveside memorial service will be held at the Glenwood City Cemetery, Glenwood City, WI on July 16, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., to celebrate her life, and her return to her eternal Family. A family luncheon will follow the service, location to be announced.
She was born January 14, 1940, in (Forrest City) IA to her loving parents Lloyd and Lola Hockenson. Her family moved to Wisconsin 1952, where she graduated from high school. Lorraine married her first husband, Kenny Carlson, on July 31, 1957. They were blessed with two children, Judy and James. Kenny passed in 1962 in a tragic auto accident. Lorraine married her second husband, Kenneth Seydel, on Aug 6, 1964. They were blessed with a daughter, Kathy.
Lorraine lived in many places throughout her life including Iowa, Wisconsin, Idaho, Washington, and North Dakota. She enjoyed traveling with her family. She also had a passion in life for baseball, knitting and sharing her creations with those she loved, and doting on all her great-granddaughters.
Lorraine is survived by her children, Judy Caldwell, James (Spouse) Carlson, and Kathy Richmond; her grandchildren, Travis (Amanda) Richmond, Christifer (Miranda) Carlson, Kaitlyn (Kyle) Mackert, Rodney (Monique) Carlson, and Jeremy Carlson; her great-granddaughters, Sienna Carlson, Sariah Carlson, Chanel Carlson, Chloe Carlson, Hailey Richmond, Skylie Mackert, Katja Mackert and Kinleigh Mackert. Lorraine is also survived by her siblings Linda (Randy) Gossel and Lyle Hockenson. She was proceeded in death by her husbands, Kenny and Kenneth; her parents, Lloyd and Lola; her siblings LeRoy and Lois.
Lorraine will be missed greatly by not only her family, but by anyone who’s life she touched.
