Logan Michael Sampson, 18, the son of Mike and Tanya Sampson, died on April 23, 2024.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Capital Ice Complex, Wachter Arena, Bismarck, ND.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 6:00 to 7:00 PM with a Time of Sharing at 7:00 PM at Bismarck Funeral Home.  Visitation will continue at the Wachter Arena one hour prior to the service.

Logan Michael Sampson was born on August 4, 2005, in Monroe, Washington, and raised in Bismarck, North Dakota.

Known for his big heart, wide smile, and strong hugs, Logan loved ice hockey, fishing, hunting, baseball, and singing. He enjoyed camping with his family, attending the Medora Musical, pulling practical jokes on his younger brothers, and vacations to New York City, Florida, and State and National Parks.

Nicknamed, The Moose, Logan was loyal and loving, a fierce friend and buddy to anyone that knew him. He stood up for his friends, his brothers, and everyone he loved. Logan excelled at golf, and in his last year of life was assistant coach for his younger brothers’ ice hockey team.

Logan is survived by his parents, Mike and Tanya Sampson, his three brothers, Noah, Alexander, and Oliver, his grandparents, Jim and Denise Brorby, and Charlene Sampson, his uncles and aunts, numerous cousins, and great-aunts, great-uncles, and great-grandfather, Dale Brorby, and his framily, Bob, Kristi, Emma, Sophie and Kallan Thune; and close friends, Andrew Berglind, Leo Zabka, Ethan Johnson, Braxton Hager and Alex Knutson.

Logan was preceded in death by his grandfather Pete Sampson; great-grandmother, Louise Pfliger; great-grandmother, Cecelia Hatzenbihler and great-grandfather, MJ Hatzenbihler.
