Lana Kaye Ebach, 74, McClusky, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at her home. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 on Tuesday, September 3, at Grace Lutheran Church, McClusky. Burial will be held at McClusky City Cemetery. Family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service.
Lana Kaye Mears was born on November 17, 1944 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Rugby, ND to Alex and Harriet Mears. She was raised in rural Pleasant Lake where she went to rural grade schools for 8 years. She graduated from Rugby High School and attended two semesters of college at NDSS of Forestry in Bottineau. Her and her dorm mates keep in touch by getting together every summer to catch up.
She worked for Dr. Cook and Dr. Sawchuk in Rolette, ND until she married Donald Ebach in October 1965. They had three children: Daniel Paul, Darren James and Donna Michelle.
She started working again in 1976 for Sheridan County Social Services and retired after 42 years in October 2018.
She is survived by her children: Dan (Colleen), Darren (Stephanie) and Donna Baker (Chad Sjol); brothers: Claudius “Ted” (Margaret), Steven (Deborah) and David (Mary Ann); 11 grandchildren; 11 greatgrandchildren; and her special friend DuWayne “Doc” Dockter.
She was preceded in death by her sister and her parents.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the Sheridan Memorial Home or the local churches.
