Katie Hack, 93, Mandan, passed away December 28, 2018, in a Mandan care center. Funeral services will be on Thursday, January 3, 2019, at 1:30 p.m., at Bismarck Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the start of the service.
Katie was born on July 20, 1925, in Pickardville, ND, the daughter of John and Christine (Hausauer) Boehm. Katie married John Hack on December 9, 1945 in Bismarck.
Katie retired from Mandan’s Lewis & Clark Hotel in 1983. She was named “Housekeeper of the Year” in 1982 by the North Dakota Hospitality Association.
Katie is survived by her sons: Richard Hack, Mandan, Charles (Ranae) Hack, Williamsburg, CO; sisters: Edna Morrell, Mandan, Elaine (Linus) Kovar, Santa Barbara, CA; brothers: Sam (Penny) Koleon, Boise, ID, Richard (Diane) Eichorst, Minnesota; grandchildren: Michael, Jessica, Melissa, Shawna, Larry, and Mark; and great grandchild: Trevor.
Katie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John, sister, Mary Fisher, brother, John Boehm; daughter-in-law, Cynthia Hack, and infant granddaughter, Shyla Hack.
