Judith Kathleen Adamson, 81, Sterling, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2024. Funeral services will be held at graveside on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Sterling Cemetery in Sterling, ND.

Judi was born on January 21, 1943 to Harry and Ann (McCullough) Meekma in Wisconsin. She was raised and educated in Racine and graduated from Park High School. After high school, she married John Simpson, and shortly there after moved to California for a few years. Judi and John divorced in 1975 and she lived in Georgia where she worked two and sometimes three jobs and raised all four of their children.

Judi had a tough life but she was tougher! She had an inherited stubborn streak that she passed on to her daughter, Jaci. She was always trying to help others that were less fortunate than us and kept up a positive attitude throughout it all.

In the early 1980’s, she married Dale Adamson and they divorced a few years later.

Judi loved to knit and crochet things for people. She loved reading library books and looked forward to her daughter, Jaci, visiting every Monday. The two of them would chat and catch up on events of the week and Jaci would bring essentials, goodies, and fast food from town. Ninety-nine percent of the time, she wanted Taco Bell! Judi loved dogs and most always had one with her.

She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Jacalyn Simpson (Kent Rath) and Rhonda Simpson Wells; sons, Mark Simpson and Bob Simpson; sister, Joan Orlowski; niece, Janis Orlowski; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Judi was preceded in death by her mother, Ann (McCullough) Meekma; father, Harry Meekma; sister, Peggy Vance and brother, Richard Meekma.
