Joyce L. Schlenker, 73, passed away June 26, 2019, at St. Vincent’s Care Center. Per her request a private funeral will be held, and cremation has taken place.

Joyce was born June 22, 1946 to Clyde and Louise King, Quanah, TX. She graduated from high and attended some college. She met Dennis Schlenker while he was stationed at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma and they were married November 20, 1965. After he was discharged, they moved to Bismarck.

Joyce was a stay at home mom and raised her two sons. Later she worked at Burleigh County Treasurers Office and North Dakota Guaranty & Title Co.

She had numerous hobbies – quilting, knitting, crocheting, ceramics and beading. She loved to raise flowers and collect Barbie dolls.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis; sons, David, Bismarck and Mark (Lisa), Fargo; grandchildren, Andrew, Alex, Hope and Paige; and great-grandson, Landon.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
