John F. Wanner, 54, Bismarck, went to his heavenly home after a courageous battle with cancer. A celebration of his life will be at New Song Church Oct. 19, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. Doors open at noon for family visitation.
John was born June 22, 1964 to Delmore and LeNora Wanner. Growing up on the ranch in McClusky gave him a great joy for nature. John never missed the chance to get into trouble on the farm, whether it be driving a tractor through a grainery at two years of age or in his later years, mud-running in his Ram Charger.
Upon moving to Bismarck John started work at Dakota Fence and was their lead welder. He never missed a chance to show people his most challenging works. John also was a prominent member of two churches and volunteered in many programs in the Christian community. A great day off for John would have been hitting the road on one of his Honda motorcycles.
He will be deeply missed by his daughter Jessie Wanner (Austin Chmielewski), son Brandon Flostrand, his mother LeNora Folmer, sister Maureen (Kevin) Mohl, brothers Paul Jr. (Naomi) Folmer and Tony (Eileen) Folmer, and countless other relatives and friends.
He will be joining his father Delmore Wanner, sister Marian Wanner, step-father Paul Folmer, Sr., niece Ashley Folmer, and great-nephew Elijah.
Condolences may be left at John’s online guestbook at www.bismarckfuneralhome.com. Memorial contributions may be made to New Song Church or Evangel Church.
