Jason O’Keeffe, 42, passed away at Sanford Medical Center, Bismarck, Wednesday, August 21, 2019 from natural causes. A memorial service will be held at Bismarck Funeral Home, Bismarck, on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Glen Stevens officiating.
Jason was born April 3, 1977 at Rugby, ND to Mike and Kathy O’Keeffe.
He graduated from Mandan High School in 1996. He attended Northwest Technical College, Moorhead, MN for 1 ½ years studying chef training. He worked as a cook at several restaurants including Denny’s and Famous Dave’s. In 2010 he started working at Dan’s Supermarket and worked there until his death.
Jason will be remembered as a passionate father to his son, Michael, who was Jason’s main focus in life. Jason enjoyed cooking, especially grilling. He also enjoyed hunting, especially deer hunting.
Jason is survived by his son Michael Jason (6 years old); his parents Mike and Kathy O’Keeffe, Bismarck; brother, Tim O’Keeffe, Fargo, ND; nephews Sam and John O’Keeffe; his former wife, Caroline and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins..
Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cornelius and Julitta O’Keeffe and Art and Vivian O’Connell; two uncles; and aunt and a cousin.
