14 Aug Janice L. Braun

Janice Braun, 82, of Bismarck, passed away July 24, 2019.  A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 29, at Bismarck Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at a later date in Minot, ND.

Janice Lynn Braun was born April 23, 1937 to August and Esther (Huetmeyer) Braun.  She lived her early years in Velva, ND near Minot.  Jan loved her work in Bismarck managing the café and deli at K-Mart.  She also was a teacher’s aide at Centennial Elementary School, where she “adopted” many kids who called her Grandma Jan.

Jan was a very loving Aunt, and is survived by eight nephews and nieces: Ron (Audrey) Rhoades, Stacy Rhoades, Rick (Lori) Rhoades, Tim (Elizabeth) Rhoades, Tom Rhoades, Patrisha (Daniel) Tancreto, Michelle Brenner, Robyn Brenner, and many great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews whom she cared for as much as any aunt could.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Carol Rhoades and Estella Brenner; brother, LeRoy Braun; brother-in-law, James Rhoades and one niece, Candi Rhoades. 

Jan will be greatly missed by her family, her friends at Brandon Heights, and by all who knew her.
