Jack Arthur Pleinis, 75, lost his courageous battle with cancer on June 20, 2019. A memorial service will take place on Tuesday, June 25, 2019, at 10:00 a.m., at the Bismarck Funeral Home. Family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place following the service at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery.
Jack was born on April 15, 1944 to Arthur and Irene (Trautman) Pleinis, in Woodworth, ND. On September 13, 1969, Jack married Connie Roth. Together they had one son, Troy. Jack was a welder/boiler maker and retired from Mid America Steel Inc. He was a very creative, jack-of-all trade’s kind of guy. He donated many of the items he made to charity. He loved to visit with people and no one was a stranger to Jack for long. He also loved children.
Throughout his years, Jack had many interests and hobby’s including, motorcycling, car racing, wood working, welding, camping, four wheeling, horseback riding, and growing tomatoes.Jack is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Connie; son, Troy; brother, Gary (Helma) Pleinis; sister-in-law, Marsha (Tim) Adolf; nephews, Justin (Amber) Adolf and Tyler (Alisha) Adolf; niece, Lisa Pleinis; great-nieces, Emma, Kylee and Blakely Adolf; great-nephew, Easton Adolf; and neighborgrands, Isaiah, Olivia, Sophia and Alexandra Koch.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Irene; and his in-laws, Clarence and Mildred Roth.
