Goprou Seri

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Goprou D. Seri, a cherished father, grandfather, and friend, who departed this life on January 7, 2025, in Bismarck, North Dakota. Born on May 8, 1958, in Gagnoa, Ivory Coast, Goprou lived a life filled with love, resilience, and devotion to his family and community.

In 1999, Goprou made the brave decision to leave his homeland and forge a new life in the United States. A man of extraordinary determination, he worked tirelessly to reunite his children and grandchildren in America, fulfilling his dream of offering them a brighter future. Goprou was a devoted father of four who exemplified the meaning of sacrifice, hard work, and love.

Goprou spent much of his career as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), caring for others with compassion and dedication. Beyond his profession, he lived life to the fullest. He had a love for travel, often exploring new places with enthusiasm. A frequent visitor to the casino, he relished the excitement and joy it brought. An avid conversationalist, he enjoyed engaging in lively discussions about politics with his friends, always curious and thoughtful in his perspectives.

As a devoted baptized and confirmed Catholic, Goprou had a magnetic personality that drew people to him. He loved to socialize, meet new people, and create meaningful connections. His impeccable sense of style reflected his pride in presenting himself well, always dressed to impress.

Goprou leaves behind a legacy of love, perseverance, and warmth that will forever be etched in the hearts of his family and friends. Though his absence creates a void that cannot be filled, his memory will live on in the laughter of his children, the stories of his grandchildren, and the countless lives he touched.
