Geraldine Mae (Robillard) Volker was born September 19, 1942 to William and Elvena (St. Claire) Robillard in Bottineau, North Dakota. She passed away on February 9, 2019 in her home after a courageous battle with cancer.
Geraldine graduated from Dunseith High School and furthered her education in Bottineau at Dakota College and Lake Washington Institute of Technology. She was married May 3, 1962 to Terrance Elvin Volker of Bottineau. They made their first home on the farm near Dunseith, ND. After her husband’s service in the military, they moved to Washington State. She was a homemaker and business partner with her husband. They built a beautiful home, raised three boys and their grandchildren, and then later moved to Center, ND where they enjoyed their retirement.
Geraldine’s nickname was Geri. She was a fantastic conversationalist, was deeply proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, had a wonderful sense of humor and lived life to the fullest. She was a marvelous cook who enjoyed providing meals for family and friends. Geri had a huge heart and never turned anyone away.
Geri is survived by her husband, Terry; three sons, William Terrance Volker of Washington, James Dean Volker of Montana, and Terrance Carl Volker of Center, North Dakota; grandchildren Brandon Carl Volker, Terrance Daniel Volker, Kylie Brooke Volker, and Brittney Elizabeth Dunn; many great-grandchildren; brothers James Robillard of Williston, ND, Bobbie Robillard of Bismarck, ND, and Raphael “Rayfield” Poitra of Dunseith, ND; and a sister, Gloria Patnaude of Belcourt, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents.
