Gerald “Jerry” Bechhold, 85, of Bismarck, formerly of Glen Ullin passed away on February 4, 2022, at Marian Manor Healthcare Center, Glen Ullin, ND.
Jerry was born on May 18, 1936, to John and Frances (Geck) Bechhold in Glen Ullin, ND where he was raised and educated and graduated from Glen Ullin High School in 1954. Jerry enlisted in the United States Army in November of 1955 and was honorably discharged in 1957. Jerry farmed in the Glen Ullin area for 25 years and was also employed with Satrom Travel for eight years and then Unisys for five years.
On December 11, 1985, he married Lucille Emter in Sioux Falls, SD.
Jerry will be deeply missed by his wife, Lucille of Bismarck; daughter, Christine Bechhold of Bismarck; Robert (Cristina) Bechhold of Ankeny, Iowa; sister, Jean Bechhold of Glen Ullin, ND; granddaughter, Maylene; stepchildren, Dale and Hollie Emter of Glen Ullin, Bonnie and Gary Teske of Bismarck, Lyle Emter of Glen Ullin, Les and Rhonda Emter of Bismarck; step grandchildren, Michael Geck, Kevin Emter, Kayla Emter, Mitchell (Teasha) Bettenhausen, and Parker and Paige Emter; step greatgrandchildren, Daxlynn Emter, Jexton Emter, McKenzie Gerving, and Madisyn Gerving.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Jimmie.
