Gerald Bondy

Gerald Fredrick Bondy, 82, Mandan, passed away September 11, 2024 at the Sunset Drive Prospera Facility. 

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at 1:30pm at the Bismarck Funeral Home. 

Jerry was born June 3, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan to Fredrick Bondy and Ann Somenauer. Upon the death of his biological father, Jerry was raised by his stepfather, Walter Epding. 

Jerry graduated from Western High School on June 24, 1960. He completed studies at the Electronic and Industrial Electronics School in 1963. From 1964 to 1979, Jerry worked for GE in several positions. In 1980, he joined MDU as a technical training rep and retired May 28, 2008.

Jerry married Judy England in Detroit on August 19, 1961. They were married 63 years. 

He was a gentle, patient and loving man. His family was his whole world. He loved simple things in life like working in his yard, especially with his roses. He loved baking his special pies and trying new recipes, tinkering with various projects in his garage and spending time with his grandchildren. He also loved hunting and fishing with his sons.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Judy; two sons, Kevin (Rodine) and Ron (Marcia); daughter, Kayla (Tony) Williamson; four grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren; sisters, Joan Hairabedian and Gale Allen.

He was preceded in death by his father, Fredrick Bondy; mother, Ann Epding; stepfather, Walter Epding; sister, Janet Bondy and brother-in-law, Marty Allen.
