Duane Geffre

Duane L Geffre of Litchfield Park AZ passed away March 12, 2025. He was a loving son, father, grandfather and husband.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Napoleon, ND. Burial will be at St. Philip Neri Catholic Cemetery with Military Rites after the memorial service.

Duane was born on July 11, 1951 to Barbara and Anthony Geffre. He grew up in Napoleon, ND and in 1986 moved to Fargo, ND. For 30 years he worked for several car dealerships in Fargo until 2006. In 1986 he met Gloria Green and they were married in 2002 and lived in Fargo until 2013. For four years they divided their time between Fargo and AZ. They moved to AZ permanently in 2017.

It was especially important to Duane to be a grateful member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 19 years. He also enjoyed fishing, doing handyman work, gardening and helping neighbors.

He will be missed by many including his wife Gloria; sons, Josh Geffre (wife Anna Geffre, granddaughter Evie and grandson Andrew) and Justin Geffre (wife Darcy). Also missing him will be his mother, Barbara Geffre (Warren Papke) and his brothers Thomas Geffre (wife Mary), James Geffre (wife Charlotte) Timothy Geffre (Steve Estes), David Geffre (wife Sheila), Partick Geffre and his sisters, Kathleen Aller (Mike) and Susan Haas (Kent).

Duane also has many, many nieces, cousins and friends and Rose Geffre (ex-wife) who will never forget him.

Those that preceded him in death include his father Anthony Geffre; sisters, Marvelene Frafjord and Joann Haas and brother, Kenn Geffre.
