Dorothy " Dottie" Mosley, 72, of Bismarck, ND passed away peacefully December 13, 2024 at Sunset Nursing Home in Mandan, after a courageous fight with cancer

A memorial service will be held Friday December 20, 2024 at 1pm CST at the Bismarck Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Ristvedt officiating. Cremation has taken place.

Dorothy "Dottie" Mosley was born September 8, 1952 to Emma and Emil Beck in Stanley, ND. Dottie grew up in Bismarck where she graduated from Bismarck High school in 1971, a year later on November 27,1972 Dottie had a son, David Mosley Jr. Later in life she decided to move to Orlando, FL where she met Everett Buchan "Buck", her partner of 31 yrs. On August 4, 1981 they had Everett "BOO" Buchan Jr. Shortly after they had their son they moved back to Bismarck, ND. Dottie then started at McDonalds where she worked for 35 years before retiring on August 29, 2024. In 1992 they found Everett's son, Bryan Bradley, who Dottie accepted as her own.

In October she was diagnosed with cancer and it was determined to no longer be treatable so she moved to Sunset Nursing Home in Mandan, ND where she fought her courageous battle with cancer while on hospice.

If you couldn't find "Dottie" you could be sure she was either at McDonald's visiting her coworkers or her friends (which were her customers she became close to over the years), or you could find her cuddled up with a good book or watching the Hallmark channel. She also found joy in going to the casino or playing bingo. Dottie spent a fair amount of her time in Medina with her family and friends there. Dottie also enjoyed her granddaughters, Alexis Gordon and Hayleigh Bradley along with her sons, they were the light of her life and she always enjoyed telling everyone about them when she got the chance.

She is survived by her sons, Everett "BOO" Buchan (Bismarck, ND), Bryan (Kristy) Bradley (Center, ND), David Jr (Kerri) Mosley (Lexington, NC); granddaughters, Alexis Gordon and Hayleigh Bradley (Center, ND); Sisters, Adeline (Maynard) Link (Medina, ND), Gerry (Donny) Jahner (Arizona), Georgia (Scott) Knutson (Bismarck, ND), Char (Keith) Garret (Ohio), Doris Benedict (special Friend David Collins) (Bismarck, ND); Brothers, Doug (Deb) Beck (Bismarck, ND), Albert (Carolyn) Beck ((Kansas), and James Beck (friend Julia) (Tennessee) and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is proceeded in death by her mother and father, Emma and Emil Beck; her life long partner, Everett "Buck" Buchan; nephew, Adam Jahner; great niece, Brianna "JO" Benedict and Great-great nephew, Declan Benedict.
