Our girl, Destiny Kaye, was born July 11, 2000 to her mother Darla Dahl. From the time she was born she was fought over by Grandmothers, Aunts, Great Aunts, Brother, family members and friends as to who were her favorites. And the little girl knew it. It was her joy. Her smile was the brightest and when she laughed it came from her soul. If you knew her well, you knew how absolutely beautiful, ridiculously funny, or just down right inappropriate she was. She left her mark.
Despite her God-given gift of bringing love to people, deep inside she was suffering in the darkness, privately battling a deep inexplicable pain over the loss of her brother a short three months earlier. She succumbed to the silent illness of depression at 14 years old and took her life on December 27, 2014. God called her home and into His arms on March 21, 2019.
She is now with God and her brother, but she also left us all and we will never be the same again. She has left the pain behind, yet we will continue to feel the pain of her leaving. She left behind her mother Darla, her loving sister Diamond Marie, her grandparents, many cousins, aunts, uncles, and extended family.
She joins her brother Brandon Christopher Dahl and her grandfather Darrell Dahl, who I’m sure are waiting with open arms to welcome her home.
We would like to invite you to come together with us to celebrate her life at Corpus Christi Church on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.
