Darlene Brown, 87, Bismarck, died January 25, 2019, in Augusta Place, Bismarck. Memorial services will be on Thursday, February 7, 2019, at 1:00 p.m., at First Lutheran Church, Bismarck. Family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the start of the service at the church.
Darlene was born in Bismarck on November 26, 1931, the daughter of Harry and Albia (Rezac) Gallup and was a life-long resident of Bismarck.
Darlene played softball in her younger years and was an avid league bowler for over 55 years. She was also very proud of her business Darlene’s Monogramming Service and for being a life-long member of First Lutheran Church, Bismarck.
She married Gabe J. Brown on May 1, 1954. They were married for 49 years and raised four sons.
She is survived by her four sons and their families, Hal and his children, Christopher (Lydia) and Brittany; Jay and Anna and their children, Robert, Nancy (Adam) Crompton, Jennifer (Evan) Hasenbalg, Daniel, Amy (Andy) Nelson, Thomas (Kaila), Karen (Cory) Rodewald, and David; Gabe and Shelly and their children Kelly (Matt) Hieb and Paul; and Pat and Doreen and their children, Julia and Sam (Miranda), fourteen grandchildren, twenty- three great grandchildren and two additional great- grandchildren to arrive in 2019, her brother Arley (Ann) Gallup, brothers-in-law, Russ Patchen and Glen Donaldson, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters, and two great grandchildren.
