Darcy Ehmann

Darcy Doane Ehmann, 74, passed away March 19, 2025. A family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Darcy was born on July 10, 1950 to Harry and Emma Ehmann. He was raised on the family farm near Jud, ND, along with his sister, Marleen. He attended the University of North Dakota where he received his degree in chemical engineering. While there, he met Mary L. McDermid, who would become his cherished wife of 52 years. (Eph. 5:25) A daughter, Laura Marie, joined their lives for 14 years, 10 months and is now reunited with her loving daddy in their heavenly home.

Darcy’s career in the corn and soybean processing industry led to many moves in several states. The 14th move brought them to Bismarck where Darcy died unexpectedly from a heart attack.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary; sister, Marleen (Vaughn) Bussma of Dammeron Valley, Utah and their daughter, Cassi Bussma of Tempe, AZ; sister-in-law, Pat (Jerry deceased) Palanuk, San Antonio, TX and her two children, Faith and David and their families; brother-in-law, Tim McDermid of Gackle, ND and his “church family” that was so dear to him.

Memorials may be made to the Laura Ehmann Endowment at the Anne Carlsen Center.
