Daniel William Campbell, 59, of Bismarck, passed away on November 19, 2023, in his home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, Bismarck, with the Most Reverend David D. Kagan, Bishop of Bismarck, as celebrant.  Father Shane Campbell will concelebrate.  Burial will be at Saint Mary’s Cemetery following the service.

Visitation will be held Friday evening, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, with Rosary and Vigil beginning at 7:00 PM at the Bismarck funeral home.  Visitation will continue at the church one hour prior to the service on Saturday.

Dan was born on June 12, 1964, son of William and Evelyn Campbell.  He graduated from St. Mary’s High School and the University of North Dakota. He worked as an accountant at Williston Basin, MDU, Basin Electric, and the Diocese of Bismarck.

Dan is survived by his brothers, Joe Campbell of Bismarck, and Fr. Shane Campbell of Belfield, ND; his sisters, Patty (John) Wilke of Detroit Lakes, MN, and Kathleen (Ron) Sieve of Rochester MN; his nieces, Teresa, Rachel, Elizabeth, Abigail, Mary, Annamarie, and Katherine; his nephews, Joshua, Dominic, and Michael.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Evelyn Campbell.

Dan courageously battled cancer for many years.  Steadfast in faith and trusting in God’s plan, he inspired us all.

Dan will be forever remembered for his kindness.  A beloved son, brother, uncle, co-worker and friend.
