Curt Kienzle, 82, Bismarck passed away on March 18, 2024, in Bismarck ND. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Bismarck Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1 hour before the service.
Curt was born on October 31, 1941, to Gideon and Edna (Tesky) Kienzle on the family farm where he was raised. Curt attended school at Germania Township and Streeter High School. He was the oldest of 5 children.
Curt married Donna Mae Egerdahl on Sept 28, 1960. They began their married life with Curt working road construction. They then moved to Bismarck were Curt worked at Melroe and then with Liechty’s Mobile Homes.
In 1974 Curt started his own business, Curt’s Mobile Home Service which he proudly maintained until his retirement in 2007. But, as many people know, Curt was not one to sit around, he started working as a part time delivery driver for Millennia Transport until 2017 when he quit to take care of Donna.
Over the years Curt made some long-lasting friendships within the mobile home business. Everyone knew Curt.
Curt and Donna loved camping, even if it was just pulling the camper out to Selby Park for the weekend. They also enjoyed traveling with friends, if it was a bus tour to Nashville or the New England states or an Alaskan cruise, they were always having a good time with good friends.
He is survived by his daughter, Angela and Dave Ewanika Frazee MN, his sons, Carey and Lisa Kienzle Bowman ND, and Clyde and Denise Kienzle Bismarck ND. Seven grandchildren, Mike and Missy Butler, Joe and Shannon Butler, Amanda and Matt Fish, Savanna and Ryan Stroh, Logan and Kasey Kienzle, Alphonse Kienzle and friend Jeanette Bachmaier, Farah Johnson, and 23 great grandchildren. Two brothers, Dave and Randy and one sister Luella, his brothers and sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
Curt was preceded in death by his wife Donna, his parents Gideon and Edna, his sister Karen, and numerous aunts and uncles.
